Bodies in Motion Dance Education Centre offers a complete curriculum ranging in cources for the pre-school aged child through the advanced student, as well as for adults. Our instructors stress proper technique, in a positive and nurturing environment. All of our staff members are professionals in the field of dance, and continue to expand their own education in order to bring our students the most up to date and exciting dance classes.

• CREATIVE MOVEMENT - This class is offered to 3 yr. olds and is designed to ease your child into the world of dance. It concentrates on large and fine motor skills and will allow your child to explore movement and rhythm through games, music play and basic ballet steps.
  
  
• COMBINATION CLASSES (BALLET/TAP/JAZZ) - These classes are geared to give your preschool - 2nd grade aged dancer a taste of everything. The student will get the opportunity to study each of the major disciplines in dance following a syllabus that builds upon itself with each level. Classes are fun and exciting and keep your child moving.
  
  
• BALLET TECHNIQUE - The study of classical Ballet concentrates on balance, grace and flexibility. Each level building upon the previous to expand the dancers movement vocabulary and technique.
  
  
• TAP TECHNIQUE - The study of rhythm. Your dancer will be making music with his/her feet. Each level increases in difficulty by challenging the student with more complicated combinations and footwork.
  
  
• JAZZ TECHNIQUE - Your dancer will enjoy studying classic jazz. They will be working on strengthening exercises, as well as balance, flexibility and rhythm. All set to a variety of music from musical theatre, to blues, to funk.
  
  
• CONTEMPORARY LYRICAL - Lyrical dance is a combination of Ballet, Modern and Jazz. Interpreting the lyrics (or feelings) of the music. Your dancer will learn to express themselves through movement as well as using facial expression to support the choreography and technique.
  
  
• HIP HOP - Street Jazz with technique is what your dancer will get in this class. The student will learn this popular style of dance set to great music with lots of energy and attitude.
  
  
• JAZZ-N-GYM - This 1 1/2 hour class gives your dancer 45 minutes in the dance studio studying Jazz and 45 minutes on the gym floor learning gymnastic skills. The student will perform an Acro dance (a combination of dance and gymnastics) in our annual spring concert. This class is the best of both worlds at our facility!
  
  
• CHEERDANCE - Does your child dream of being a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader? Than this is the class for them! Fast paced and energetic, this class incorporates pom poms with funky Jazz and sharp precision movement.
